Someone who understands them
someone who's just like you
When no one seems to care
you always stick right by my side
When my world gets dark and confusing
I can count on you for my guide
We've experienced so much together
but we always make it through
Out of everybody in the world
I'm glad God gave me you
I know sometimes we argue
over a stupid joke or lie
But no matter what, I can always be sure
our friendship will never die
You've been there for me through thick and thin
and have helped me through it all
When I have a problem or need your help
all I have to do is call
With you, my world is a better place
and with you, my world is true
If I only had one friend left
I'd want it... to be you

I'm new at this one,but I'm an English lover too.
Though I don't write poems,I used to do,but not any more,but I love doing my work,writing in general with English language,people seams not to understand me much.

But,I want to bring two questions to the nice people here:
What do you think of the slang language?
In General use I mean,in chats,little letter here and there,something like that.

Do you think that songs lyrics can be related to,as in poems,or in any other way of creativity?
If yes then can you tell me which artist who believe that can give such an example? or what song?
I'm more lyrically speaking you know!

No doubt this poem is a perfect one, it shows a very high skillfulness of writing poetry, it describes the true friend in a very wonderful way

The things that I admired the most about it are the musical rhythm of it’s phrases and the ability of showing meaningful scenes in very short statements which is something that can’t be done except by highly professional poets or poetess’

I really like your incredible talents and encourage you to keep on utilizing them

I’m not a poetry critique but I tried to express my own impression and admiration about this great poem

But the most amazing issue about this poem is that you wrote it at the age of 10, honestly speaking when I started reading it, I was thinking it was a quotation from elsewhere then I got surprised when I’ve read one of your replies stating that you’ve written it when you were 10 years old
