The most definite run and gun hit released in 1987. It helped define the horizontal scroll shoot ’em up genre and it is here to stay. Good as new with the old spirit here. So easy to re-learn the simple controls and rediscover this classic, but how long will it take you to regain the skills? As addictive as adrenaline itself, it will give you as much rush as the 80s poppers.
Episode I: Origin
100 original levels — it’s all here. The mind chilling and the heart freezing alien landscapes. The indecipherable agression of the cold rotund beasts going your way straight to pop you to death, and with only your gunmanship and refuse to go down to protect you. You are all alone, how far will you make it?

Episode II: New Wave
Blob, blob, blob... What are these again? Sundogs? Plashes of sunlight rushing in from your peripheral vision — the unhealthy result of exhaustion from completing the one hundred original levels all in one sitting?
Oh no, these are the bubbles again — not pink cheery bubbles on a perfect summer morning, but numb and silent anaerobic floaters on the dark and gelid planet.
Are they conscious? Are they trying to tell something? Could it be a friendly attempt to make the first ever human-alien contact?
Well, who cares, no time to think, goddammit, just blast the living hell out of them all... What else do you have a rifle and a missile launcher for? Would be a shame not to use it.

This is no tearjerk kind of nostalgia — this time it comes with a full swing right at your teeth.
